I used to work on short-wave broadcast stations using open wire feeders. When a bird alighted on one feeder a huge arc would be struck and I could plainly hear the audio from the service. Once the transmitter had tripped and the smoke cleared, all that remained of the bird was its feet stuck to the wire... Merry Christmas! Dave G3YXM |
