Hi Wolf and Colin You may know that there is CW rag-chewing on 500 at about 9:00am local time for 1/2 to an hour long on Sunday mornings. G Stations out of Nottingham and the Mid Beds areas. Take a listen ? Probably not a good time for DL. I think Wolf's suggestion is a very good one like calling on the hour for 5 minutes that way we have a better chance of a casual QSO than random calling. At Sun down onwards there is quite a lot of CW (human ops) on 472.5+/- just LF of the "BIA" NDB Lower side band. If you can hear the NDB you will hear the DL ops at about the same strength. The beacon is annoying but conversely it's a good band indicator. 73 es GL Pete M0FMT IO91UX
