So obviously they used their main transmitter, perhaps with some reduced power,
to do the antenna alignment.
I haven't actually seen the transmitter in Burg but I had the opportunity to
see the main DCF77 transmitter, and what I saw pretty much reminded me of my
own LF/MF station. No special technical solutions, just a big PA, an antenna
current meter and a big variometer - that's all ...
