Yes , I think these days 300 watts from a fet
is much simpler on 500 , plenty of designs + parts
about as well
big amps are not the problem , its
generating the RF drive frequency and / or
modulation .....better to spend the $ in that area

These units run around 300 Watts output but are very
heavy a two man job to lift !!
Would be ideal for 500 khz but would take up a lot of
space.
My MF tx is tiny by comparison
