BBC   RADIO  MERSEYSIDE   1485  TX    QRT   :))))))
 
Wondering  why  the  usual  S9  of   background  noise   was  not  showing  on 500  , and  launching  into  frenzied   activity  thinking  the  Skanti  R5003  had decide to  fall  over  after  20  years  of  service , pressing the   ' press to  tune'  noise  source  , indicated  all  was  fine
 
CONFUSION  set  in
 
Slowly  the  enormity  of the  situation  dawned  on me
 
The  BBC's  1485KHz   10Kw   wide  band  noise  generator  has been  switched  off  
That ends  40 years of  WideBandNoise  !!
