Well  that would appear to  be the situation !   500 signals  round  2400  are  very good  , I think  unexpectedly so , but  on the  other  hand , to date the  only  long term  beacon  was  run by Andy  , using the  g3plx  system , with  Gary , running a  rx  at  240 miles  range,   ,  qrss did  not  really leave any  'history'  and the Op  beacon system is producing  good  results with  real  time  s/n   measurements , perhaps  with the simplified / enhanced  user access , ad-hoc  beacon  nets  are  providing quite unique data  sets ?

As  to  why  the  path losses are lower in the  summer  .. over to  Alan  on that  one  !

Subject: LF: Best annual period for listening to LF

Hello LF,

looking at this very interesting graph:

my understanding is that summer nights - though shorter than winter ones - could be better for reception of LF signals in terms of signal strenght. Is this conclusion correct?

Thanks

D.
