OK Mal Thanks for the advice. The GW3UEP was the answer to the Unobtainium issue. Every bit could be obtained from Maplin. Not semi professional Amateur with component access through the "Company", you can see that in the LF HB. It would be nice just to take a High power design that is "Surefire" build it and have it on the air with out a process of tweaking and tuning and bits of FET ricocheting round the shack before you finally tame it. I think I am almost there doing it empirically. That's what I am hoping with Stefans design but the ferrite "Black magic"......
+ Oh and your big sig in Moscow is more a function of your big antenna..... yes?......... :o) 73 es GL Pete M0FMT IO91UX From: Graham <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, 28 June 2012, 20:20 Subject: Re: LF: Emailing: malk 107 Bit of Lemon Pledge ?
Pete es co
The 500 Khz rig that I built in a couple of hours. Components from
the junk box. The FET driver in this case was a complimentary pair of
transistors.
Class E single ended one FET.
At the start I used a xtal osc then changed to the IC706 as an exciter, a
couple of diodes to SQ the sinewave.
The tank cct inductor is an old WW2 ceramic ex TU7B tuning unit.
I put a good signal into the USA es Canada es Moscow with
this transmitter on CW.
