when it was announced , there was a sense Ae , that must of

As far as I know the three transmitters have rubidium standards and no
phase locking.
There was some mush area steering (receive loops at Pontop Pike near
Newcastle) but this was disconnected some 25 years ago.

I think the relays are locked to
the main signal ( off air?), presume are in 'idle'
with no ref to lock .... I know driving to
Scotland, there is a area where the 198
signal is 'mushy'/'wobbly' as one signal
fades and the relay takes over .. for
