A..  there's the  problem , fresh water is a  insulator .. you  need  a bag of  rock  salt  sprinkled  about, like  fairy  dust  , that  should  solve the  problem : ))

Yes and nere a copy of my QRPp so maybe the summertime conditions have arrived, the 500kHz earth stakes covered by 20mm of water detuned the inv,L but it was still just in tuning range.
