Sorry LH

A plethora of messages to myself. I have tried other means.

You are TX'ing OP8 on 500kHz, that is fine, Graham suggested a test I am decoding you fine but you start to TX around every 6mins leaving no full  RX period for yourself.

Good audible OP16 but below 501.5 -501.6 when I moved the RX dial it was too late for a decode.

I think I am seeing OP16 in the wrong watering hole on 500kHz.

Would you like to try OP16 on 500kHz, with our distance apart it should be a very viable test. I can push a button and send OP16 instead of 18 at any time.

Opera seems popular,  are there any plans ahead for a basic QSO mode instead of Beacon only.
At present on MF/LF it has popularity in its favour over the other data modes.
Instead of FEC how about the amtor approach where the transmission triggers a RX stn who responds and a QSO begins. The exchange need only be a few key words.
How about modifying Amtor or Pactor for MF use.
