Chris, Jim, Four of the WE2XGR stations (W1VD, W1TAG, W2ZM, and K2ORS) had a weekly ssb schedule on 510kHz usb Sunday nights for a couple of years with reception reports received out to almost 3000 miles. Somewhere I have a .wav file of Bob W2ZM on ssb as received by Finbar EI0CF in Ireland - Bob and Finbar even had a cross-mode ssb/cw QSO on 500kHz. I have even run sstv on 500kHz and received reports from about 600 miles distant in that mode. -- 73 Warren K2ORS WD2XGJ WD2XSH/23 WE2XEB/2 WE2XGR/1 On Wed, Feb 15, 2012 at 3:46 PM, James Moritz <[email protected]> wrote: > Dear Chris, LF Group, > > I recall Gus, SM6BHZ has operated a 500kHz SSB beacon, which was quite > successfully received by many stations. > > Cheers, Jim Moritz > 73 de M0BMU > |
