I said it was Fantastic!!!!! No negativity about that. Are you keen on
Opera
??
There will soon be an individual digi MODE of some sort for every Operator
on the amateur bands strangely enough this will not be a problem because
no
communications between operators is intended it is all one way BEACON
mode.
Set your computer to display a blurr on a screen and report via Internet.
Go out dancing, shopping or go to bed but importantly keep out of the
shack,
Operator not needed. This is definitely progress and a positive way
forward
compared to the traditional method where the Operator was always present
and
his/her skills were a necessity for a successful communications result.
A robot(JILES) mobile interface would be useful to report to the Operator
so
the operator need never go near the shack.
Will the traditional Radio Amateur give way eventually to the Appliance
Operator/Robot ?? Thinking Positively I hope not

It is called true experimentation and what, arguably, our hobby is really
about. Don't be so negative always, please.

Subject: LF: The Lentus mode
Hi all
Patrick F6CTE the maker of multipsk have made a new qrp mode. He has
called it the Lentus mode. The goal of this mode is to
perform VLF to HF communications at a very low S/N (-34 dB with a noise
bandwidth of 3 KHz).
The Lentus mode is incorporate in his latest version of Mulitpsk version
4.21 beta.
Patrick has documented the mode well as he always do. You can download a
description of the mode for my dropbox:

mode.pdf
and if you find it interesting you can download a copy of multipsk here:

By the way, I am running a beacon on 7037,5 USB +1000Hz now . The power
is 2W. It is has been captured bay Max iz6rmr -18db.
