Yes Mal I agree - thanks - its a lot further to VE7
(!) and a slightly more Southerly path maxing appx 73N as against the KL7
Route reaches 85N (HGA22 is very close to going straight over the pole) - but
Scott/Steve maybe would/could have more disruptive time within the
Northern American Auroral Zone on the the Gt/Circle/Rhum
path as the KL7/ Eu Path, as his and my paths to Eu has to traverse and
cross the Auroral Oval twice; but with Scotts TIL/Steve 7SL tenacity and
excellent engineering/antennae, and a lot of luck from Space it may
prevail.
I wouldnt discount a pre dawn Alaska/VE7, Eu Dusk
early night opening too - Ive been receiving HGA22 just a few dBs down
for a very short period. This Ak morning time hasnt opened up to Eu for
our ERP levels but never say never.
All previous 137 KL7 to Eu
have been predawn Eu from memory, and to show you how rare an event this
is, its been nearly 10 years since I received a signal from Europe and my
first full callsign. Signals on this path have only worked during the deepest
and darkest part of winter to date.

It looks good for a VE7 QSO from
EU/UK
The optimum condx should be around end of this
month and January. This has been the case in the past also applies to 500 es
1800 Khz. Early morning before UK sunrise best time for KL7, W6, W7, VE7 and
into the pacific area as far as ZL
Must Fire up If I wake up in time!!
