I noticed Laurence, KL7UK had his Alaskan Snapper on HGA22 tonight, having never looked for this one before I gave it a shot and there it was! I copied it for a bit on my Ratzlaff active whip, without realizing it! Switched to the loop and it was stronger on it. But nice to see the whip works down there nicely here amongst the houses and QRN. DCF39 was doing quite well, so now I am down a little lower looking on 136.172 for DK7FC.

Mark,

Thanks for the heads up on HGA22 and DCF39. They were strong here too. Some years back I decoded DCF39 packets using MixW RTTY software, the only code I had at the time with enough flexibility to do the job. Last night I couldn't get decodes so perhaps the format has changed. I've benefited from the free versions of MultiPSK and CLOCK for years now and noticed that the latest version has the European standard for such transmissions in the paid mode. I finally broke down and bought a user key so I can run the "professional" modes. Only a bit over $40 USD now that the Euro has sagged. When it arrives I should be able to decode both stations.
