It varies a "lot" (nice technical term)  with about a 20 mins periodicity - signals from S9 to 2 in 2Khz. and dont have the 1hHz s/n Stefan. My noise level is around S2 on average so gives you a rough idea....

Interestingly when picking up G3LDO/G3AQC/DF6NM a few years back  DCF39 was often in a mutipath fade down at S3/4 when the best signal was evident...or Eastern Eu  was already in light

Havent taken a reading for the last couple of nights as its very late here. Im 3 hours away time zone from Alaska.. (GMT-9)..

Hi Laurence,

Tnx for the motivation!

What S/N is DCF39 in 1Hz on your side now and at which time (in UTC) ?

Ill put the Alaska snapper back on the 136.172 window tonight - again openings occur just pre dawn in Eu only, so keep your transmitters on till your version of the sun is up!  ( :-))
