Roger, LF,

I use a Samsung NC10 Netbook and find it ideal for all applications. It is
PLENTY powerful enough for datamodes - in fact currently I'm typing this
email and running ROS concurrently, as well as, at times, connecting to it
via VNC from my Android phone so I can watch the ROS screen from elsewhere
in the house. Can't recommend one highly enough. It has an Atom CPU
1.66GHz and 2GB RAM. It's a bit old, and no longer available, but that
only means that the newer hardware on the market will be more capable
still. The only downside is that some software is written without the
ability to alter the window sizes (ROS for example - although it has the
choice of 1024x600, which is okay, if you don't want the waterfall).

Regards,

John
