Please tell us the time/date you plan to transmit Lubos so we know where and when to look. Please use a very long and stable carrier so we have some chance of seeing the signal in the UK!

Hello Chris, VLF!
My VLF receiver has been ready for your transmision whole morning. I am not sure, but maybe I saw traces of your signal. It is not demonstrable ... may be.

I finished building and testing my new VLP PA. It works well, output power is 120W continuously.  I am going to transmit with this one next week.

LF,

Thanks to Eddie (Northampton), Roger (nr Cambridge) and Paul (Todmorden) for the reports and screen shots.

The kite is still aloft despite nearly snagging a nearby tree several times.
The wind is gusting and changing direction quite rapidly which is causing big fluctuations in aerial current. The max current is about 0.25A min about 0.15A

I estimate the aerial height as being between 40 - 50m (occasionally down to 15m!) with 70m of total wire run out.

Provided the wind doesn't shift too far to the East (where there's danger of snagging house TV aerials) and the kite doesn't break free I'll leave the set up as it is.

My Grabber :- http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23312120/zjo_grab.jpg

Now on DFCW600 4.5mHz where Chris is showing 10dB above the noise floor. The best signal yet.
N.B There is a frequency step in the display, it is not Chris sending DFCW it is my end.

LF,

I have been transmitting since 05.02Z and have managed to get my kite aerial
flying since 06.15

The supporting pole is bending at an alarming angle so I may lose the kite soon !
So look for me now before it breaks free - HI !

Frequency:  8.976 661 6 kHz
Mode:         Constant carrier
