You are out of touch again. CW acty often pops up in the VLF environment, it does not mean it is necessarily military.

Subject: LF: CW transmission around 17.975kHz at 1640z March 26th

To check my loop is working I run SM6LKM's VLF receiver to see levels of the Alphas and GBZ etc and notice a station sending 5 number sequences in CW around 17.975kHz. This frequency was not accurately measured as I only caught about 2-3 minutes before the signal disappeared. It has now reappeared with what sounds like high speed CW.

Can anyone tell me who this might be? Signal was about 30dB over noise on my loop aiming roughly WSW-ENE.

I wasn't aware any of the military VLF users still used CW.
