Hi Roger,

Just seen your mail & had a look (1705utc) & nothing seen on that frequency but nearby is the Russian military on 18.1kHz & I have occasionally heard them using CW there.

To check my loop is working I run SM6LKM's VLF receiver to see levels of the Alphas and GBZ etc and notice a station sending 5 number sequences in CW around 17.975kHz. This frequency was not accurately measured as I only caught about 2-3 minutes before the signal disappeared. It has now reappeared with what sounds like high speed CW.

Can anyone tell me who this might be? Signal was about 30dB over noise on my loop aiming roughly WSW-ENE.

I wasn't aware any of the military VLF users still used CW.
