Dear Roger, LF Group,

I do actually experience tinnitus of this sort - I find it quite hard to compare it with, say, a tone from a signal generator, but it does seem to be in the vicinity of 9kHz, give or take a kHz or two. But as I also live within 1km of 4 high power broadcast transmitters, (not to mention the amateur radio related fields ;-)) I can safely say this kind of RF field does not make any difference to the sensation. Also, I have spent a fair amount of time in screened rooms, and can say that makes no difference either... if anything, a screened room often makes it more noticeable because the ambient noise level is quite low inside them.
