VLF communication over several hundred
kilometres is possible from fixed antennas, which are suitable for purpose,
also plenty of RF watts.
I would hope to cover more than 500 kilometres with
my fixed antennas if I ever get interested in the Dreamers band.

France
Hi Nicolas,
The distance is 797km, http://no.nonsense.ee/qthmap/?qth=JN18IP&from=jn68rb
This
is a VERY impressing and remarkable RX result! His signal seemed to be rather
low today, compared to monday but you've got an excellent reception in 4.5
mHz. Congrats to you and of course Ossi! The first OE-F contact on VLF it
seems :-)
Your loop design becomes more and more interesting for me!
Would be interesting to compare it to an active E field antenna at the same
location. What do you estimate is the SNR loss if you would choose the
quietest location where the loop can be fixed arranged?
This shows that
VLF reception in the range above 500 km and even QSOs may be done by fixed
antennas! A good VLF day!

Hello Dreamers, Ossi attached my screen capture of your VLF
transmission this afternoon.
In portable for a noise-free environment, locator JN18IP.
hallo niclas
tnx fer your report ,
so in this time i transmiting only with the marconi
220 ma smal signal fore testing the conds ,
weather here very poor stormy and snowfall ,
wet wx conds not good fore high voltage on the anttena,
and no ballon by strong wind ,
so by the next activity i gife a info on the reflector,
you can see the smal signal on my grabber here 10 km from my station, peaking
only to -80 db ,
normaly by ballon 100m high its on -70 db ,
