?Rik, No, 505 is not a typo.In December 2010 the responsible Dutch ministry has published an interim draft for a new frequency plan. There are two relevant changes (for us Dutch radio amateurs): - allocation of 70 - 70.5 MHz on a secondary basis- early access allocation of the segment 501 - 505, until definite implementation of WRC12 There is a consultation period of 6 weeks, and if there are no further changes to the draft the powers that be (our government) must make it into law an formally publish it. Only then will we be allowed to operate on 500 again. This process will obviously take some time.... Nobody seems to know exactly how long, but chances are that favorable winter conditions will be gone by then....alas. We have to wait untill the band 501 - 505 kHz is included in our National Frequency Plan, this can take a few months. The status will become secondary so more stations will be able to participate.
