I fully support the use of UTC as the standard for grabbers, mine timestamps that way.

Mal,

CYCLES, KILOCYCLES and MEGACYCLES 
ARE TOTALLY MEANINGLESS in the way you have offered them.

 

Hertz is at worse an arbitrary name for a properly defined unit of frequency. It is universally understood, even by you,

and it is unambiguously defined.

Without a unit of time, your frequency labels are worthless.
