Dear Roger,

Thank you for the kind words! You and others have done an important part of that work too! Without so many RX stations, VLF would never have become such a success in the amateurs world.

32 stations have shown to receive my VLF transmissions! A list of them is here: http://www.iup.uni-heidelberg.de/schaefer_vlf/pic/VLF%20DX%209th.png

And what next on the band?

Well, let's formulate a challenging goal for 2011, or more:
- A successful detection of a ham generated QRSS/DFCW signal arround 2 kHz, in DFCW-2400 or faster, in a distance above 150 km
- Beeing detected at KL7UK's VLF grabber is about 7500 km distance, over the pole
- Beeing detected in Iceland/TF and Greenland/OX
- Beeing detected below 4 kHz in at least 500 km (DFCW-600)
- Beeing detected on 5170 Hz above 1000 km (DFCW-600)
- Beeing detected on 6470 Hz above 2000 km (DFCW-600)
- A CW xband QSO on 9/xyz kHz, far field
- A DFCW-3 QSO on 9/137 kHz above 150 km
- Above 50 stations who can receive a VLF signal above 1 Lambda
Hmm, that would be fine. :-) Let's see it as a task list, to be remembered in exactly one year!
We should have set up such a list last year! ;-)

73 and much fun on VLF in 2011

Stefan/DK7FC
