It never seems to fail ... someone is watching when
mistakes are made ;~) .
I thought the 'spurii' problem was solved when
I remembered to ground out the TX vertical during receive ... and it was to an
extent. But at certain times (mostly early evening) the intereference is picked
up regardless. Later today I'll be conducting a 'witch
hunt' looking for various noise sources ... however I'm
not optomistic about finding this one. If the noise can't be resolved
I'll check around for a clearer frequency.
Glad to have the reflector back. Sorry for late
arrival and duplicate posts ...

p.s. one of the best showings of XNS into
your grabber happened Friday night around 0400Z IIRC.

Jay,
thank you very much for this interesting
capture. You actually managed to catch a keying error: After
mistyping my callsign and attempting to correct while it was already in
the buffer, a single "D6NF" string was sent out instead.
The interference is a bit unusual in
that there are closely spaced lines which drift around independently. Is
there a nearby clearer frequency for you? We could also go out further, but
beyond say +- 6 Hz, there would be more trouble with HGA sidebands within
Europe.
Best regards,
Markus (DF6NM)
