Dear Hans and everyone who has sent me info on LF
coil calculations.
Thank you, this has greatly increased my
knowlege on the subject. It shows that the LF community are a very knowlegable
and kind people.
My original reason for posting the message was to
inform anyone in the UK thinking of winding large coils that these bins were
available.
With the possible forthcoming problems
on 500kHz, I hope to venture down to 137?kHz and eventually sub
9kHz.
Best Regards to you.

calculation
Desr Ken, calculate Your coil with the program
TANT136.exe, it is a DOS program, running in an separate window of
WINDOWS. For measuring the results at the aerial, I have an
vector analyser; FA-VA vector antenna analyser by DL1
SNG, available at the magazine "Funkamateur", funkamateur.de. It displays the
smith diagram, so tuning is easy.

Hello Hans. These bins are almost 1m in height, and at least 50cm in
diameter.
