Dear Ken,
surely they are. But theese Bins should have a hight of more than 50 cm. I use a pvc pipe, 30 cm diameter, 70 cm lenght. Recomended are also garbage tons of 240 litres, better than those with 120 l . For the variometer coil I use a PVC-pipe with 20 cm diameter.

Hello Everyone.
I went into  a branch of Wilkinsons (Watford), today, and saw some straight sided cylindrical dust bins about 0.5m diameter, useful for large coils?
