Hi Dave,

Although the sampling rate isn't quite as high as what you are after, I can 
recommend the Griffin iMic based on
my use of it here for PSK31.  At only $39.00 CDN, it doesn't break the bank and 
offers stereo in/out with switch
selectable line or mic level input.  It's USB and needs no drivers for OS X or 
recent Windoze.
