Thanks for info and good advices, Mal! As you can image, is the operation on 600m band something new for me. I have been listening on the 137/500kHz several years, but it is quite new situation in my ham life (HI). Thanks for our nice CW QSO!

I have worked 19 stns on 500/HF xband CW . I use mostly 7
Mcs for long haul DX. There are many stns willing to work xband but only on CW
and not QRS or DATA modes. Avoid QRS mode if possible, it takes too long for a
QSO especially when your signal is strong enough for CW.

Hello Rik!
Thanks for ecouraging information. I hope, that condx will be right this
autumn. I am not sure which stations in Europe are able to do QSO with me
(which stations have got a special licence for 600m band). It might be good to
write them and ask them to do QSO.
I am going to be QRV on 501.888kHz from 18:00 to 21:00UT this night. I
will be receiving on 3570kHz for crossband QSO as well.

Hello Lubos,
1W ERP is OK for working Europe on 500.
I am running about the same power (ERP) and have worked
all European countries that are active in CW plus VE in QRSS3. Further
RX reports from as far as TF, OH, UA3, LZ and SV in CW and
4X in QRSS3.
I have been heard in the US and have heard US stations
last winter, so even central Europe to US east coast should be possible with 1
W ERP when condx are right.
But more ERP is better for DX, no doubt

Hello Rik!
Thanks for the good report. I am quite surprise at it, becouse my ERP
power is still only 1W. My bigger PA is not complete yet.
Have a nice weekend!
