I have worked some long haul on 137 during the summer and especially around EU. Signals from OH and I5 are just as strong in summer as winter, and during daytime. There was over 30 countries active some years back, 500 kcs has never really got going and 9 kcs is but a dream, antenna space limitations is the problem to radiate a meaningful signal, equipment is simple enough, a 9 kc audio osc plus a Kw audio amplifier.

Hi Mal,
I still RX on 137 and regularly TX QRPP across town. Hope to be on higher power shortly. Pity the band seems to be getting neglected, but as someone suggested, maybe it will liven up again in the autumn/winter.
No interest here in the Dreamers Band, can't see it being practical for any 'sensible' QSOs with amateur powers or antennas.

Is there anyone active on 137 kcs these days or have they all diverted to the Dreamers band.
