Dear LF/VLF,

Since yesterday i have added a "QRSS-6000 transmitter test window" on my grabber. It is on the bottom of the page. 1 Pixel is 40 minutes long. Above, there is the ALPHA beacon on 11904,762 displayed. This is to check, that the grabber frequency locking is working sufficiently (or not). It is locked to DHO38 (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%A4ngstwellensender_DHO38) on 23,4 kHz. Thanks to Wolf/DL4YHF to provide the latest version of Spectrum Lab!! On the transmitter testwindow, one can check if a reception over the given distance to my grabber is possible. Sure, it makes no sense to try a QSO in QRSS/DFCW 6000. But if stations start to become QRV and improve and improve the TX system, it might be useful to be visible anywhere. Compared to the DFCW-600 window one needs 10 dB less ERP to produce signal there. This could be useful for the upcoming german (and other) dreaming TX stations. E.g. if someone wants to check if it makes an improvement to the system if the antenna wire length is increased but the distance to a forest decreases... You know what i mean... Also for me it would be very fine to see the first ham made signal there! Still i am in the 2nd floor on the institute and will change to the 7th floor soon, hoping the noise decreases further... Actually, there is something visible on my grabber (http://www.iup.uni-heidelberg.de/schaefer_vlf/DK7FC_VLF_Grabber.html) on 8970.00 Hz with stable frequency. Maybe it is QRM but if not, please, dear TX operator, tell me that you are transmitting :-)

Best 73 and let's hope for better wx :-)

Stefan/DK7FC
