Got the slow "K" around 15:00 local on the E-field antenna at home, and fragments from the faster transmission. Then the noise increased, masking the faster transmission. The portable trip with H-field receiver was not so successful: A few traces here and there, but even on 'very remote' locations man-made noise on the H-field antenna was worse than with the E-field antenna at home. Seems impossible in this area to find places without underground cable, *and* HV lines, electric fences, windmills (power generators), and other strange-noise-producing objects. Next field trip will be done with a larger E-field antenna, see what happens. BTW At this very moment, there are some nice whistlers audible at VLF ! 73, Wolf DL4YHF . |
