Your phone wiring mods are right along the same that I had to do here...my ADSL
wasn't running up to par and
I was also hearing burbling on the phone during the transmit cycles of my
LowFER beacon. The manager of
my ISP happens to be a personal friend, so I had a good ear to pour out my
problems to.
He provided me with a diplexer which essentially separates the phone and the
ADSL at the entry point of the
underground service cable. Installing it and replacing the QUAD wire to the
modem with CAT5 wire solved
both of the issues and I've had clear/fast operations since.
