If you can find any old LOPT cores from the old tube TV'S they are usually 3C material and work just the same as the expensive 3C85 cores.

Farnell stock the 13.25mm diameter version of 3C85 as part number 178504 at 14p each, but I expect these may be too small for yoru application. Didn't see any larger onese listed.
