Hello all and Markus congrats to your successful experiment.
With my car audio PA, my 10h/20t T-antenna and my GF-62 I am ready for improving my ODX - 200m, hi - soon. I now got the parts for the coil and that will be next.
What I am actually concerned about is the right transformer.
Markus, what transformer did you use?
I think the 100V audio transformer was not the best choice. I now use a ferrite transformer but in both cases it was just about 500V at the secondary. Now I wonder how I can get more voltage. I've got a couple of tranformers in my junk box but this one seems to be the best of them but not the best at all.
I was thinking about an iginition coil, backfire line scan transformer or a transformer from a microwave oven. But I wonder if they are suitable for that frequencies and if they stand QRSS for a longer time.
And thanks for you all for this instructive discussion. I never expected that when I started the thread just warming up my old <9kHz stuff from the past.
