I am using a 1A thermo-couple meter and 1/2 ratio current transformer (to get a 4A range) since 2 years on 500kHz, without any problem. At 500kHz the values it shows are give or take 10%, so it is OK for tuning the antenna / controlling antenna current but I wouldn't rely on it for measuring the exact current.
