Here's one caught when I ran the 500 kHz grabber in spring 2008. I believe Laurence's explanation is correct.  During acceleration of the motor, the dutycycle on the constant chopper frequency is being modulated with an increasing rotation frequency, and its harmonics.

Looks like variable frequency drive interference from devices like pumps, elevator motors,  cranes etc. Very musical if listening on SSB and strong enough.
