Gary,
indeed the process should be automated.
But as you mention SpecLab has a selectable compression rate for the
jpeg screen captures.
The upload steam could be further reduced by uploading only the
"recent part" of the screen grab and composing the picture on the web
site from a number of grabs. Should be possible with JavaScript.

Rik,
Thanks for your suggestion. I am not familiar with Corel Photo paint
& it does need to be automatic as I can't spend time editing each
upload ie. two at 10 minutes & 1 at 1 hr. I am trying reducing the
JPG at capture time by lowering the JPEG quality percentage on
SpecLab. I have taken care of the G4JNT beacon upload by using *.png
& the file is only a few kb's rather than 10's of kb's using *.bmp
& uploading at 1 hr intervals instead of 15 minutes.

Gary,
maybe more compression in the jpeg.
Using Corel Photo Paint I could reduce the file size to 50% with
little visual impact.

Hi All,
Sorry to have to announce that my grabber is inoperative at the moment.
It seems that I have regularly exceeded the daily quota set by the
ISP/web site provider. I have been transparently placed in
"restricted service" which is only allowing about 5
uploads/downloads each day. I expect that it will take some time for
my average to come down sufficient to allow my regular uploads
again.
Also I will have to make the upload file sizes smaller & less
regular so as to keep within this upload limit.
I will post a notice here when all is running normally again.
