Hello All.

I have been reading the recent posting regarding the PA0RDT Mini-Whip earthing etc, and am becoming rather confused.  I am hoping to construct a Mini-Whip over the Christmas break, but have issues regarding the positioning of it, the original drawings show it on a non metallic mast, if I mount it high it will be within 2m vertical separation and a 3m horizontal separation of the top horizontal section of the antenna, the other option would be to mount it 1m above ground which will give a 8m vertical separation and a 4m horizontal separation. Just to add further problems if elevated vertically it is very close to vegetation, and at the 1m position it will be close to the neighbour?s chain link fence. The Mini-Whip will be connected to the shack with approximately 25m of 50 ohm coax. Your comments will be gratefully received.
