Hello Everyone.
Thanks for the replies, I have some BY255's which
are rated at 1300v at 1A, the input to the diode stack is about 2.3KV peak,
and was planning to use two BY255s in series in each of the four legs, of
the full wave bridge, the problem is most resistors are only rated at 500v,
hence using a single diode would remove the need for resistors. With
resistors rated at 500v, this would require 16 diodes, and there is not that
amount of space. Next question does anyone know of a source of 470K resistore
rated at 1KV? these are rare and expensive animals

Hi Mal surely "in series" to give a 4 KV diode at 1amp
? dave G8SZX

On the serious side, use 6 x 1Kvolt @ 1A in
parallel if u are stuck.
Don't get zapped

LF: 4kv diode
Hello All.
I am looking for a BY4 or BY6 or equivalent
diode, BY4 4kv @ 1A, BY6 6kv @ 1A, I have searched the
web and looked in Farnell, any ideas please.
