Hi Stefan.
Thanks Stefan, do you have a source for either the BV8 or the BV16?, I have been unable to find one.

Hi Ken,

My hint is to try a BV8 Diode. It is able to take 500mA. On my work, I have good experiences with the BV16, the 16kV Version.

Each one costs abt 1€. Three in parallel, thermal coupled, should be no problem at all. And: there´s no need for extra cooling!
