data and generating QRM to the few Radio amateurs trying to get by on
CW.

Not from the UK, Mal, as beacon operation is not permitted unless it is specifically shown on the Special Research Permit (NoV). Without the NoV, we can only operate beacons for the purpose of direction finding contests on specific frequencies and bands as given in Schedule 2 of our licence and the notes appended thereto.

My NoV does not authorise me to operate a beacon so my operation is limited to CW using proper Morse ;-)
