Chris,

I was wondering what was going for a while ! good  signal with me in io82lk, but  =f6ci= was just on the edge at times with  qsb .. looks to be about 450  miles from my qth, so  that's  possibly in the skip zone , didn't look on the  two grabbers , often see a good signal at Birmingham that's  not  showing at my qth or very well at  Gary's and that's only  about 80 miles south  of 'us'

Looks like these low long wires radiate quite well at 500 , the high angle seems to  help the  'short' skip ?

Yes chaps your ears did not deceive you.
Andy is operating on 500 kc/s today and maybe tomorrow.
A call on the band tonight may rouse him.

He has a 150m long and 20m high aerial but is only running
5 watts output !
Nonetheless he was 579 with me (IO92UB) and a good solid
signal.

He says that he will be back in ON and QRV the weekend after
next.
