If I manage to get my temporary mast up in the wind, I hope to transmit CQ tomorrow morning Saturday 21st March with QRSS3 on 137.68 KHz. Running 825 watts input to Decca Tx which was scrapped from the Isles of Scilly, to a 230 feet long Marconi T, 30 feet up. Earth is a disused iron water main about 5 miles long. Rx is lazy loop. QTH is at Porthpean, IO 70 OH, on the cliffs looking out to sea to the east. Reports most welcome, but I am 79 and struggling! Please be patient! Harry G3MFW |
