Dear Mal, LF Group,

Mmmm... There is something called DFCW where high and low tones correspond to dashes and dots of Morse. That way you don't need to learn another code - it is also quicker because Morse characters have less than 7 1/2 symbols. Just imagine trying to work out all that figure shift/letter shift stuff when you have lost half the signal in the QRM!

You do not need a teleprinter or any sort of print display, just read it directly off the waterfall display, 1 ele start, 5 elements info, and 1 and 1/2 elements stop. (total 7-1/2 elements per character) easy to ID and read.
