Ok Jim,

The drop is the pa adding a 14 db pad ... dont quite see why as the peak power is only about 30% ...

are you seeing the same % decodes from each system ?

I will halt the olivia tx and change that over to dominoex -fec

as from 21-40

Dear Graham, LF Group,

Still getting patchy copy with both Olivia and Domino EX11. The power levels
seem to have dropped abruptly and then returned at least twice during the
course of your test.

There does not seem to be a great difference between the two modes- I get
some copy with either unless the signal has totally faded out, but it is
hard to make a good comparison with only short CQ calls and rapidly changing
signal levels.

An interesting experiment would be to compare the default domino EX11 mode
with the same mode but with the FEC enabled. This would give a direct
comparison between FEC and non-FEC modes

Cheers, Jim Moritz
