Thanks for all the trouble you've gone to Jim, the resulst show it was
worthwhile.
I'll have a look at the pattern of s/n versus time after daylight and
see how things went overnight. There seems to have been a peak at
around 0720, up to -5dB. It's still dark here, and won't be light for a
wee while yet, sunrise is 08:52.
