It seems that your definition of activity on the band
is calling CQ and having real-time QSOs using CW.

Based on that, I guess I've never been active, for I've
not used CW since passing my Advanced Amateur
test back in 1974.

I've had a great deal of enjoyment over those past 34
years experimenting with and using modes that didn't
require calling CQ, having QSOs, or using CW.

Here in Canada my licence allows me to operate an
"Amateur Experimental Station", and in my mind it's
that word in the middle which defines activity.
