There is any amount of acty between 135 and 139 khz at least four regular transmissions, especially CFH on 137 and SV on 136 approx, and two vy loud DL commercial stns s9 plus 60 going all the time. I was wondering why you need more.

Hi All,
It would be really great if there was at least one regular amateur beacon on the band. I would like something to check against here.

Hi Mal., LF group

i think Chris  , G4AYT ,   was considering  an amateur  beacon  ( i.e with ERP power reaching 1 W ) instead of  a commercial station
( take DCF39 at 138.83 kHz  as an example)  producing , say, 60000 Watts  of erp pwr.  you put a "5 cm" piece of wire  into  antenna socket
of ur rcvr and you can hear it. it is  a little more challenging experience to hear a station  with power limits  accesible also to your tx equipment
not to mention  the  sensitivity test of your receiving  gear
anyway, 1 W versus 60000 Watts makes a subtle difference... :-)
