The ITU Radio Regulations (RR) define the amateur radio service as: "A radiocommunication service for the purpose of self training, intercommunication and technical investigations carried out by amateurs, that is, by duly authorized persons interested in radio technique solely with a personal aim and without pecuniary interest" So there is more than making (CW) QSO's. 73, Rik ON7YD Disclaimer: http://www.kuleuven.be/cwis/email_disclaimer.htm for more information. |
